Premier Mechanical installed a complete mechanical (HVAC) system for a new 15,000 square foot surgery center. Winthrop’s Ambulatory Surgery center consists of a complete state of the art heating system with (3) high efficiency condensing boilers with 5 separate zones and a constant volume reheat system with laminar flow operating room HEPA filtration diffusers. New cooling and air systems include (2) new air-cooled chillers with integral pump packages and (2) 15,000 CFM custom outdoor double wall thermal composite air handlers. These air handlers were provided with high capacity roof mounted humidifiers running on outdoor steam generators to provide adequate humidification for a fully functional operating room as per DOH guidelines.
